- I purchased 10 Practical Peripherals ProClass 28.8 external LCD v.34.
- 1 at home on a Compaq Pentium running Win95.
- 3 at one office downtown on Pentium Micron's running Win95
- 3 at another office on Pentium Micron's running WFW3.11 and Winfax
- 3 at another office connected to an NT modem pool with Win95 clients.
-
- None of them can fax from Windows 95 or Winfax.
- 99% of the time Win95 or Winfax will report a fax send failed.
- Although 50% of the time the fax actually makes it.
- However, even if the fax makes it the computer will keep resending it because
- it thinks it failed and the people on the other end will get a message on
- their fax that there was an error.
-
- I have upgraded the Eprom chips on 3 of the modems with the latest revision.
- However, it did not make any difference.
- The PPI tech support denied any fax problems with with Win95 and suggested I
- use the crumby 16bit Quick Link II fax software that ships with their modems.
- I much rather use the fax software that is integrated into Win95.
- I know the problem has nothing to do with line noise, phone company, or Eprom.
- Anyone have any suggestions.
